Hi Lovely Ladies,
I was 19 years old when I first saw photos of girls with sparkling eyes and big fluffy eyelashes. I was instantly mesmerised and I went on to find out all the information I could on eyelash extensions. Since trying them myself I fell even more in love. The ease of waking up and not needing to put on any make up because I could how see my eyes made all the difference made me say "wow" every time I looked in the mirror.
Over the months, as I started investing in lash extensions, I sadly discovered that there were a lot of poorly trained lash technicians out there and despite paying top dollar I had suffered from many lash-mishaps.
It was only after talking to my girlfriends about my unfortunate lash experiences that they said I should become an eyelash technician and start my own business.
From that moment I have now received well over 30 lash extension qualifications and am always doing more. I have been trained by many of Australia's top lash educators, as well as some of the world's best educators such as Loreta Jasilionyte - Flawless Lashes by Loreta (UK), Hanna Babanakava - owner of Angel Wings (Russia/Canada), Joy Crossingham - Owner of LashJoy (Top Educator in Australia), Sommer Deaves - Owner of LPL Studios (Top Educator in Australia and Lash Vision Leader), Kimberley Haworth -Lash Vision and Association of Registered Lash Artists, Melanie Temple from Glitz Lash Studio Canada who is the inventor of the Strip Lash Look Style, Sugarlash the largest and most successful education academy in the world, Julia Mann one of the most successful lash artists and business owners in Australia, and so so many more.
I travel interstate multiple times a year to attend various conferences including the Gold Coast's Lash Bash 2018 and the Australian Registered Lash Association Industry Standards conference in May 2019, the International Lash Masters Conference twice a year every year, and the Lash Vision Lash health and Safety Conference. In July 2019, I became one of the 15 Industry Leaders for the International Association of Registered Lash Artists (ARLA) and flew down to Melbourne to collaborate with the other industry leaders to raise and set new industry standards for ARLA. I am now currently looking forward to the Lash Vision conference in Melbourne November 2019 and the Australian Lash Open Championship in March 2020.
In early 2022 I received the highest international lash educator qualification by NALA and I have also received the International Lash Masters Educator qualification. In early 2022 I launched the Capital Lashes Academy and began teaching our incredible lash methods to other amazing women around Canberra and Australia.
In 2020 Capital Lashes began expanding and became a team! I have trained all of our team members myself through an extremely long and in depth in house training program which courses then became the bones of the Capital Lashes Academy. Our team is trained to MY standards and reflect the quality that Capital Lashes in known for. I cannot be more proud of how wholesome and talented our incredible team is. We have become so close and they have truly made Capital Lashes the success story it is now. Our team allows us to provide hundreds more woman with safe and stunning lashes and raise industry standards further and faster than ever before.
I am proud to say I have built an honest, friendly and professional business. Not only this but my experience so far has given me the chance to meet and lash so many incredible women from all over Canberra and the surrounding regions. I get to provide them with gorgeous lashes and give them the same feelings I first felt back when I was 19
