Brow Lamination Canberra

About our Brow Laminations

It's like a perm for your brows.

It is often said that eyebrows play a significant role in framing the face. Thankfully, gone are the days when we had to depend on blunt tweezers and poor eyesight to shape our eyebrows into works of art. Nowadays, numerous innovative treatments have emerged that promise to trim, tidy, and enhance our eyebrows. Among these newer and increasingly popular treatments is "brow lamination."

You might have come across images of bold, sleek brows with a glossy sheen dominating your Instagram and TikTok "For You" page. That's what's known as brow lamination. It's like having semi-permanent soap brows. Now, don't confuse it with laminating paper into shiny posters like you did in kindergarten. Instead, brow lamination employs chemicals to gently set the eyebrow hairs vertically, creating a brushed-up appearance that lasts for some time.

Brow Lamination Is the Microblading Alternative Taking Over Your Feeds

The treatment is sometimes referred to as a "brow perm" due to its process. However, unlike a traditional perm that adds curls or waves, this treatment focuses on straightening the eyebrow hairs. So, if you have unruly hair growth, gaps in your eyebrows, or were affected by the 2000s overplucking trend, brow lamination comes to the rescue.

Sounds fantastic, doesn't it?

What is brow lamination?

Brow lamination is essentially a "brow hair texturizing treatment". It refers to a process in which a brow specialist softens the hair follicle using a chemical solution and then reshapes or sets it into a more refined, lifted smoother shape. This results in the perfect brushed-up brows that give a fuller, more uniform and defined look.

What are the benefits of brow lamination?

The main benefit of laminated brows is, of course, the look of them. When done correctly, the brow will lay in a more aesthetically pleasing shape, with the brows looking fuller and more lifted. In addition to smoothing the hairs out, you can also re-shape the brows a little during lamination; for example, raising the arch or lowering the tail to get your desired shape.

Unlike other brow treatments, including microblading, this treatment is non-invasive and isn't permanent, making it a great option for many people who don’t want to make the commitment to other brow services.

Not only do they look great after lamination, but they're also easier to manage. The hairs, if unruly before, will be more easily managed in their smooth shape. The hair lay in a vertical direction, appearing as though they’ve been expertly brushed up and set in place.

One of the main benefits of lamination is that it lasts up to eight weeks, meaning no frantic brow brushing and gel setting every morning, allowing for a lower maintenance daily routine.

Really positive experience at capital lashes, very happy with my eyebrows and lash lift. The staff are so welcoming and lovely, and the space is clean, bright and calming! I was struggling to find an eyebrow, eyelash lift and extension salon in Canberra which I could trust, but would definitely return to capital lashes 😊

Pre-appointment

care

To help us provide you with the best service, here are a few steps you can take before coming to your lash appointment!

Step 1:

Complete the terms of service form sent to you via text the day before your appointment.

Step 2:

Avoid wearing makeup, especially mascara! Applying mascara to your lashes an affect glue retention as it will sit on the surface of the natural lashes rather than the adhesive. To maximize extension longevity, please avoid coming in with makeup on.

Step 3:

Avoid any caffeine! As much as we all love coffee and energy drinks, caffeine can cause your lashes to flutter during your lash appointment. This makes lashing a bit more challenging for us, so please try your best to remember to help us with the procedure!

Step 4:

Remove any eye contact lenses! This is a really important step due to leaving them in can be quite dangerous since the adhesive we use has really strong glue fumes. This can cause the contacts to melt, so always remember to take them out before your appointment!

Step 5:

Feel free to text us a photo of the style you want! This gives us a brief idea beforehand and we can even tell you about the different styles we provide.

Step 6:

Please notify the salon if you have any concerns, natural lash problems or eye health problems.

We want your gorgeous brow lamination to last. Here are our easy-to-follow aftercare steps.

Step 1:

Please do not use any oil-based or strong makeup removers other than Elleebana makeup remover for the first 48 hours after a brow lamination and tint, as they may strip the tint colour or may damage the direction of the brow lamination.

Step 2:

Avoid touching, stroking, or playing with brow hairs. Please try to leave them alone as much as possible.

Step 3:

Avoid wetting brow hairs within the first 48 hours.

Step 4:

Do not sleep on your face or on your side where your brows are rubbing against the pillow, encouraging the brows into a new direction. If you wear an eye mask to sleep, avoid using this for at least 48 hours post-treatment.

Step 5:

Avoid using retinols, AHA's, Vitamin A, BHA's, steroid creams or skin thinning treatments after the service for at least 48 hours.

Step 7:

Step 8:

The use of styling product and nourishing product is recommended and required to re-obtain the position of the hairs after a brow lamination and Elleeplex aftercare doubles as both a nourishing product and a styling product.

After wetting the brow hairs (after the initial 48 hours) brushing them gently back into place is necessary.
